Founded in 2005, Red Couch Productions is the documentary film home Chicago-area photographer Stephanie Book and journalist Allison Smith, a native of the Austin area now living near Chicago. As the company's debut, the duo is directing and producing, "Lion in the Street," a documentary feature about paralyzed wildlife-photographer David Farber.
