Editor
Mike Tynus - 2008
With more than 20 years experience in television production,
Chicago editor and shooter Mike Tynus will make his documentary debut with the
film "Lion in the Street."
Currently a Media Production Coordinator with the Village of
Addison, Mike's work began with the village in their television production
department 1989. Later, in 1995, Mike started Tynus Productions, shooting and
editing corporate productions for clients including Gatorade and Quaker Oats,
as well as health care videos for Baxter Travenol. His commercial freelance
production work includes projects for the NFL Network and Major League Baseball
Productions from 2004 through 2006.
In 2006, while working on a small production project for
Illinois School District 300, Mike met Allison Smith. Not only was he inspired
by David's story, but he was intrigued at the opportunity to edit some work in
a documentary format. Mike feels the verite-style of story telling coupled with
the use of high-def equipment and technology, to be challenging new areas to
expand his portfolio.
Mike studied Television Production at Columbia College in
Chicago. A trailer of footage from David Farber's trip to Alaska can be viewed
on the Multi-Media page by clicking here.
